About the LNCB
The National Library of Biological Active Compounds (LNCB) is operated by the "Coriolan Drăgulescu" Institute of Chemistry (ICCD) through the RO-OPENSCREEN interdisciplinary center for smart specialization in chemical biology. RO-OPENSCREEN provides an integrated research infrastructure, unique in Romania, for automated management of compound libraries, physico-chemical investigations, and analytical services for compound characterization following approved European procedures.
Designed by ICCD through the RO-OPENSCREEN project, the LNCB is enriched with compounds collected from the Romanian chemistry community as a collaborative effort to build a best-in-class library and accelerate drug discovery. The compounds are centrally stored and managed at the Chemoinformatics laboratory facility of the RO-OPENSCREEN interdisciplinary center.
Access to the curated compound collections is offered, on agreed terms, to academic research institutions, universities, and pharmaceutical and chemical industry partners interested in cooperation.
